another escher up for sale on the bay
its small and even though he has the box i personally cant tell if its the right stone,but it closes tomorrow and its only at 75.00 right now.i wont be bidding on it so its just a heads up for those who might be in the looking for one. listing number is 250759436560.

Why not just start a new thread? You made me look up a two yo auction number lol.
Someone should tell thanoomyint to stop lapping all the sides and removing the corners. These old stones are valuable because they're vintage but he makes them look brand new. Such a waste.

Very true. Also IME, for those of us with experience, there are characteristics on the sides and bottom of true Escher stones that can add to the confidence that they are what they are represented to be. Lapping all the way around removes these identifying marks and AFAIC they become just a Thuringan that happens to fit in an old box. Just IMHO.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.
