Ahhh, you don't understand Gugi. It could be absolutely anything. This is entirely an internal mental disorder raging between Glen's split personalities, guilt complex, and various value systems all ingrained in his brain at different points in his past. It's either due to male menopause or some chemical imbalance in his brain that's released everything at one time with no overrides.

I completely understand Glen. Except in my case....I actually won the stinking auction.... Now I've got to go pay some dude $200.

I suppose I should show everyone what I'm talking about too.

Started a thread about it seeing if anyone else here bid on it in a vain attempt to justify my trigger happy foolishness.

I was wondering who one that one. That's not a bad buy at all. I was watching that lot just for the "duel duck" alone. The IXL could turn into a nice barbers notch to clear that nick.

    I CAN'T STOP MYSELF!!!!

Can't stop the trigger finger from clicking on the ducks..... I just put in another snipe for another duck... I think I need some help. Is there a support group? I'll fight this disorder!!! I need to stop buying stuff, I can't do any serious work until after May... ugh.

Glad it worked out for you Glen.

@ Tyler: I use Gixen which has group bidding. The thing is I wanted all 5 razors. It was like five $20 bids, so it wouldn't have been the end of the world if I did win everything.

Though I did just win this, for which I set my highest max bid to date though clearly it didn't take that much.

One of the big advantages of using a sniper program is the ability to change your mind about the bid amount or the item. I make changes all the time, deleting, lowering the max, increasing the max, etc.
The other nice thing is they make the bid for you when you cannot. Ebay is blocked at work, so anything ending during a week day would be out of reach without a sniping program. I hate placing a bid only to watch 'nibblers' slowly increase the price in $1 to $5 increments as they probe for my max. I'm also leary of shill bidding or the outrageous high bid that is withdrawn, but shows your max. Plus I can't stay up until 2AM just to bid on a overseas razor. Many advantages, few disadvantages.
