Thanked: 278Nice catch! 8/8, proper (original?) scales, AND an original box!
I have a 7/8 version. It came *very* close to shave-ready, and after light honing it became my favourite shaver.
I also bought a razor from that seller recently ( STRAIGHT RAZOR J. BREIDOHR UNIQUE MINT CONDITION 8/8" - eBay (item 320365917270 end time Apr-29-09 10:27:55 PDT) ), I spotted it soon after it was listed and thought the BIN price was very reasonable.

I don't know if there are proper scales
perhaps but it seems like these were all ground at some time in the recent past
I was excited to see a box, but since we have no vintage examples to examine I would say that these are NOT original scales
the existence of such a large box does however suggest that henckel did produce such large razors, OR that someone has gone to great lengths to perpetrate a fraud.
This statement was a response to mention Bart made that these might infact be frauds produced in China.
