Thanked: 3795Please don't be a moron
I really try to avoid ebay, but sometimes I just gotta look and one thing just really p*sses me off. That is, obvious blatant fraud that morons are obviously falling for as indicated by the number of times people bid on the stuff.
Here's the thing. If you see a listing for a Colonial Era Razor, a Revolutionary War Era Razor, or an Ancient Chinese Razor, and it looks ANYTHING REMOTELY like the one depicted below, please don't bid on it. When there are at least a dozen of them listed by each seller every month, do you really believe that such incredibly large caches of these primitive razors actually exist?? I would assume this crap is made in China, buried underground for a month or two, and then sent off to whatever huckster is willing to put them up on ebay for morons to fight over. Please don't be one of those morons.
If you ARE one of those morons, then I am perfectly willing to sell you the ORIGINAL hatchet that young GEORGE WASHINGTON used to cut down a cherry tree. This is the ORIGINAL hatchet, not a reproduction. Unfortunately, the wood handle rotted away in 1781 and was replaced on December 15, 1799, the day after his death due to excessive medical bleeding, with a brand spanking new hickory handle and tragically the iron hatchet head rusted away to oblivion in 1894 but was replaced with a shiny new head from Walmart in 1987 so trust me, I assure you I have all necessary documentation, this is the actual hatchet that young George used to chop down the cherry tree in 1741.

Thanked: 317I'm with you there. I used to collect tobacco pipes and saw the same sort of non-sense.

But I wanted that razor so badly...... and the hatchet too.

I use EBay as a form of amusement. Ya gotta laugh at them, like the Puma and Wonderedge that went for $660 and $770 each. A fool and his money... We can't change their spots so you might as well laugh.
