    My thoughts:

    • It isn't huge.
    • That isn't a barber's notch, surely the tip has snapped off? The point is deadly.
    • The writing on the tang - is it the correct font? Looks like it would be easy to stamp onto a fake.
    • The blade edge looks like it was sharpened recently (badly) yet the spine looks untouched. So how was it "sharpened"?
    • What is that vice in the background? What horrors have been inflicted on this poor blade?

I could be wrong about some of these things. But I would have avoided this.

I don't see anything wrong with that razor other than the use of the word "huge." It looks like a 6/8 and I would not call that huge. Also, I would have preferred that he mentioned the damage to the scale, but at least the photos show it. The edge looks fine. Maybe it has some micro-nicking or maybe that's residue from a cleaning cloth but the edge doesn't show anything that can't be honed.

    I don't think it merited a $90 price.

I don't think that it's a fake. I also don't think that the toe was damaged or heavily modified. Based on the style and the stamp, I think it's an older blade. I don't think it's worth the $90 that it went for, but there aren't many selling prices on ebay that I do agree with.
