Stupid Stupid Stupid
I was stupid and bid on this PUMA thinking it was his other auction:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=120440447429
AND then saw the bit about the crack. Did I just lose 40 bucks? Or is there any hope for a crack? Looks like the crack is pretty long. I am commencing a forum search...

Wow! That hurts!
It is easier to fool people than to convince them they have been fooled. Twain

It may be a longshot but you could contact the seller and explain what happened and ask if he will let you off the hook. He can offer it to the second bidder and one way or the other he can't leave you less than positive feedback.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Thanked: 488Oh man that hurts! It may work but you'll sure have to be careful honing it. May be fragile and it may not. That and it may be bad about grabbing when you shave.
I agree on contacting the seller and see what you can work out.

I wouldn't suggest trying to hone/shave with it. Worst comes to worst, keep it as a display piece or try to re-sell it to someone who might be interested in it as such. If someone's just going to hang it on their wall, a hairline crack shouldn't matter too much.

thanks everyone, the 2nd chance offer didn't work. I can't stand the seller up, and i'm not the type to hang it on my wall. Might just relist it on ebay and hope for the best. I'll see how bad it is when it arrives, but I think I just ****ed away money for nothing. UNLESS I can find someone here interested in a display piece... :hmm:
