I just wrap the razor with bubble wrap, 2 sheets if its international-the second sheet being the big bubble stuff- and stick that in the bubble mailer. I never had a problem and I used to ship fountain pens, which are usually more delicate then razors, all over the world.

Default Shipping Razors (way of the Cheap Mad Scientist)

Shipping Razors (way of the Cheap Mad Scientist)

Some folks use Bubble Mailer or Priority Mail box or Bulk Mailer boxes… All good… nothing wrong with that.

I don’t sell many razors, but part of my marketing strategy is “FREE shipping to any destination on the planet”, so I feel the need to ship as safely and as economically as possible. Below are a few tips I use to ship my stuff, some may be useful to you, some may not… but here goes…

Many of us buy razors from eBay… sometimes a lot of razors. Many of those shipments come in Priority Mail or other boxes. Don’t throw away the boxes, remove the previous address labels, unfold each box and store flat, then reuse the box to ship your razors.

Also many of us receive razors with bubble wrap, don’t throw away the bubble, store it for shipping your sold razors. You can also recycle the bubble of Bubble Mailer (it’s just bubble wrap with paper stuck to it), wrap around the razor, then put the whole thing in the box… newspaper instead of bubble wrap works too.
Note: Some may feel strange about storing old boxes and may feel better if the boxes were new… Think about this; if you buy crisp new boxes they will occupy the same space as old boxes… but the old boxes cost you nothing.

I like to ship my razors in a solid shipping box but Priority Mail costs more than regular mail. With Express you can use any plain box, you can also recycle the Priority Mail box by simply wrapping with a sheet of paper to cover the entire box so no one will know it was a priority box (gift wrap), then ship it Express… you can print the address on the same sheet of paper used to wrap the box (plus another sheet).
NOTE: it is UNETHICAL to use NEW Priority Mail boxes in the manner stated above…. But I believe recycling a used one is OK because the postal service already gotten there monies worth from that box.
NOTE: You can reuse a priority mail box… simply paste the new address label over the old one and when you get to the P.O. they will place a new postage stamp over the old one and you are good to go… you will be charged Priority Mail postage rates.

One of my clients often receive products shipped in small plain brown boxes, and as a bonus they also come with stuffing (bubble wrap), whenever I visit I collect as many as I can (free boxes)… if I don’t collect the boxes they get thrown away.
If you do business or visit clients in your area, you would be surprised how many businesses throw away boxes suitable for shipping razors.

    Make life easy:
Next time you go to the P.O collect a handful of the green Delivery Confirmation forms (and Customs Form if you ship oversees), and fill out these forms at home (or your place of work) before going to the P.O. and lightly tape the form to the box. Now you don’t have to fill out the form while in the line (…excuse me sir could I borrow your pen?).

Hope this "long wind" helps some.
