Thanked: 1262Shipping Razors....
I have been using the padded envelopes and either toothbrush holders/carboard/etc.. to add extra protection around the razor.
But... It does not cost much more to use a small box w/ bubble wrap to ship razors first class.
I was wondering if anyone knows where i can buy small boxes that can fit a razor or two?
I would much rather use this method, instead of the bubble mailers.

Go to the USPS website and you can priority mail boxes sent to you free. You might have to pay postage but not for the boxed AFAIK. The $ you save on the containers can go to the additional postage.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

it is a little tricky.
if you send priority you don't need any toothbrush holder box etc. delivers fast 2-3 days and costs only 2 more then regular.
Regular you will need
toothbrush holder 1$
package to send 1$
shipping 1.65
wrapping.
3.65 total for regular
5.65 for priority
make your choose

I use the small flat rate box. I always have plenty of packing material. If it happens to be a day I am roasting, I use fresh roasted coffee as packing material (a 4 ounce valve bag works good for this).
It costs more, but I love the convenience.

The 2x3x8 shipping boxes is what I use and they cost me .52 cents per box delivered to my door per 100... Way way way cheaper than using those padded envelopes and much safer.... They hold up to 4 razors sometimes 5 and are still under the 13oz limit... with one razor and filled with paper or foam for protection they weigh out at about 4 oz....

Thanked: 317I'm with Sham on this one, 100%.
The flat rat boxes from the post office are fast, easy cheap and your package get's there faster. Plus, you can add delivery confirmation and tracking for minimal extra cost, and I'm not sure if you can do that with 1st class.
I've got a bunch of scales I'd planned to sell for $6 a set, but I'll probably sell them for $10, just so I can ship priority and use those boxes.
Also, shipping USA to USA, the smallest flat rate box is only 4.95, not 5.65

When I go to the post office I can pick up as many Priority Mail boxes as I want and dont pay for them until I use the box. I pay 4.95 for box and service.
It is easier to fool people than to convince them they have been fooled. Twain
