    woot!
It looks like on U.S. ebay #10s are going for about the equivalent of 30 EUR. And that's for NOS stock. There's a big difference in price between the #14 and #10. Now maybe #10s are going for a lot more than 30 EUR in your area, I don't know. I just didn't want to see you buy a bunch of #10s thinking you were going to sell them at #14 prices. And BTW, don't buy all the razors in Spain. Leave me at least a couple. I'm going to be over there in November.

If it is possible to contact the major holders of the Fillie NOS supply has anyone here explored a group buy?

Incidentally, what happened to the group buy section? I know I haven't been here much at all lately, but I don't see it anymore....

The #10 is barely a straight razor...

I've been in Spain over the years and haven't found any great deals. I have some Spanish friends and they say that it's difficult to find Filly's there too. Forget about the "gold rush", there isn't piles of Filly's laying on the streets
They are probably well stored, away from the collectors eyes (and hands) and in front of a desk with a computer log on to eBay..

Leon, you got that right. I was looking all over Barcelona for a #13 or #14 this summer.

Hm prices seem to vary way too much, yesterday the black scales #14 went for 186 or so, nowhere near the price you saw it go a few weeks back. May be the bling level was different?

so glad i found them before of this rush! ..even before i started to shave with str8.. love at 1st sight, and the only one, that gives me a BBS like last night! Truly Orgasmic! (waiting for camera to post in SOTD.. like someone says.."no picture..didn't happen" !)

Warning: dont put camellia oil on the rubber in the Barbas Duras! The rubber will get more flexible and start to get larger.. eventualy - like what hapenned to me - the rubber will get loose of the steel!.. maybe theres a better / gentle oil to the rubber.. my advise is just wash it and clean normaly with a towel..and only apply oil in the blade to protect!

you can use Qtip to appy oil just on the blade.
I use baby oil, and also Ballistol. Ballistol is not only preserving the blade but also cleaning from oxidation etc. According to Martin from Rasurpur, TI uses Ballistol as their preferred razor ointment.

I use silicone spray. Cleans, protects and keeps rubber from drying out. I also didn't have to buy it as it was laying in the garage.

    Default Filly's

Even the price difference between the 13 and the 14 is considerable. Imo the 14 is too big, worth saving the $ and getting the 13 IMO, even a 12 is a decent size.

Am I the only one who thinks the prices of these is way over inflated? I've seen them, used them and honed them. And, yeah, it's a nice razor. And to me, it's one of the most attractive nos razors around. I absolutely LOVE the barbas duras with the brown scales. But $300+ dollars!?! It's not that nice. Get a nice picture of it and use it as your desktop wallpaper, put the $300 towards a nice 1/4 hollow or a well done wedge, which will perform better than a barbas duras imo.
Are they sexy...heck yes, but as far as performance is concerned, it doesn't compete with other $300+ razors imo.
