Ok, I'm sorry, but whoever is bidding on this razor is an IDIOT.
Why would anyone pay that much for this DD? It's not worth it, even if it had the original scales IMO

It's way more than I'd pay, but cedarfurnitureman attracts some fierce bidders to his auctions. The blade looks very nice on that one.

Ya, even with a mirror finish on the blade tho, I don't know why people are taking it so high...maybe it once belonged to a god? OH! I got it! After you shave with it, stubble won't grow back for a week! That's gotta be it...

That is a bit on the high side for what it is!
Quinton seems like a really nice bloke though & his razors appear to be well finished. I've never managed to win one of his, but have had a bit of a chat with him a couple of times & he seems to know what he's talking about.
Maybe he's managed to reach Altima55 status!

The mysterious ways of the bay. Or you have a razor that passes under the radar and you can get it for a fair price, even for a song sometimes, or it fetches absurd pricing.

It looks to be just a bidding war between two(or more)people who want it and aren't going to give in.It's a sellers dream and it's happened to me a couple times.
