What's in a name?
I found this Sheffield James Dewsnap razor while searching around the bay. I would like to get this because Dewsnap is my family name on my mother's side. I have never seen in before, nor have I looked much, just stumbled across it. Looks in OK shape. It's scaled in camel bone no less which is more interested because I know my grandparents took several trips to Egypt way way long ago.
As you see I have an interest in it and it has some familial value for me. So please, let this one go by.
A 6/8†Sheffield Straight Razor by James Dewsnap. NR - eBay (item 220501578635 end time Nov-04-09 10:00:16 PST)

Thanked: 19I am glad I read this
I am glad I read this because I wanted to bid on that because of the camel bone scales. Now I will let it go. Good luck.

I wish I was expert enough to recognize camel bone as distinct from other forms of bone. Anyway, it is a nice razor and I hope you get it at a reasonable price.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Thanked: 19I don't think you can tell just from the pictures if that is camel bone or horse bone or other bone... I just took the seller's word for it but that is in the past for me since I will stay away from it.
