DD lifetime unsold at 10 bucks
I regularly browse the bay and save some interesting links.
A couple of days ago I was going through the list and found something very curious... in fact, I still can't believe it happened, which is why I'm here.
Did anyone notice this dubl duck grim reaper for sale (listed for auction, only for two days) at the starting price of 10 dollars - and no bids, zero bids. OK it's got a defect... but come on.
Was the internet down that day?

Well if you go into the bid history you can see that the SELLER cancelled the auction early and there were multiple bids made up to that point. The highest bid was over $115 before the seller, for whatever reason, pulled the auction.

If I'm not badly mistaken one of our members contacted the seller and made a deal. An offer he apparently couldn't refuse.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

I got mine for $100 and it is a good one. The thing is that these things have taken on legendary status when they are really no better than many other Solingen made razors. TBH I would rather have a Puma or a Bartmann with jimps and a 6/8 blade than a duck with no jimps and the skinny tangs. They hone up quick and they shave great but so do a lot of them.

Thanked: 19Oh man thanks for bringing this up. Well I have a few Ducks (grim reaper, wonder edge, goldedge, satinedge...) but I also have a few that out-shaves all my ducks. And by a few I mean a lot. To start with all my customs.. livi, zowada, JC.. Every single one of them out-shaves my ducks. The same situation with my pumas. Also some of my TI's (the 1/4 grind le grelot), the Egyptian, the heck even the special coiffeur and some helje... I really don't get what is with the all the people bringing up the prices on the DD. One of my first razors was a pristine wonderedge that I paid through hell to get it thinking that I am getting the holly grail of razors and when I got some other razors in the $50 area that simply felt "better" I was so confused. Let me see who else dares to to speak about their DD....
