Did anyone else notice it says "faster when rubbers are used"?

I know what it means, but I still giggled.

I was tempted even though it isn't an Escher. It may be a very good hone ? Here is the other end of the Escher label. Note the warning about inferior imitations. The label on that dark blue certainly was an attempt to make it look like an Escher. As far as whether it is 'inferior' remains to be seen. A collector probably bought it so it may never see a razor.

Jimmy you confused a little on this Escher.
when they start to make Escher they have been used as oil and water stone.
I know this will confuse you a little more.
Later they find different color of the escher stone and find out oil hurts and they did changed label. make it only for water use.
if you have old droescher stone check them Black color will say you can use with oil or water.
    hope this helps

Nowhere on the stone in that auction does it say "Escher". Of the half dozen labeled Eschers I have all say to avoid oil. The Hohenzollerns I have are labeled in German so I don't know about those. Apparently there were earlier Eschers that I haven't come in contact with.
