Don't know how many were made but obviously few survive. Bresnick came before bresduck which came before pearlduck- so it is OLD as ducks go. I feel like it's either a shaver with a lot of cash, or a duck collector. I know if I had the cash, that to me is a fair price, considering.

Impossible to say how many were made heck we don't even know who made them but Bresnick et al were very popular razors and some like the Special #1 were probably sold in the millions. The rarer ones like the Grim reaper were probably sold in the thousands. I imagine many would be holding on to those because they are unique and because people see them as going up in price so why sell now?

As far as DD quality its not that on an individual basis they shave better than most others its more that they are consistantly great shavers no matter the model or time they were made and they are very easy to hone up and maintain. That's what sets them apart.
