Thanked: 137Thanks heaps Lu, very helpful to have an accurate translation to work with. Is premio de honor an exact translation to prize of honor? Doesn't sound quite right to me in English (although as it's a model name, it might be unrealistic to expect it to make perfect sense)

I have seen that "Premio de Honor" sold by Varonia, and just recently another "Premio de Honor" with the name of an old cutlery shop engraved in the tang. It seems that Filarmonica had this alternative brand and "customized" it for shops and suppliers. This one in particular was not a 13 but a 14, and seems to be still one of the "proper" Filarmonicas, not the later version with the modern etching (not golden wash).

Thanked: 108Bilingual SRPers can correct me, but I think the phrase in Spanish is more or less equal to "gold medal."

Thanked: 137Did he only send a pic of one side of the tang, or was the other blank?
