Thanked: 199I agree, it all depends on what people are collecting at the time. Of course no one wants to admit that they spent $500 on a FOTM razor, but whether they admit it or not, it's true. People that HAVE to have one, will spend whatever it takes to get one. Me? I'll bide my time and wait til prices come down on the razors I would like to have. Let the maniacs blow their money.

Remember Duble Duck made nothing they were a barber supply outfit (now a pet supply oufit) so someone else made all their products. No one knows for sure who made their razors. A few we do know so outside of the fact many of the models have very similar characteristics you never know who made it and the steel they used.
In my book though the Special #1 is the same as the Goldedge save the scales. No matter how many men you kill you can't kill your successor-Emperor Nero

There was a minty 7/8 Wonderedge in the classifieds @ $350 the other day. That is a rare size for a Wonderedge. Most I've seen, like mine, are 5/8. It lasted about 12 hours before it finally sold. I was surprised it lasted that long.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

the 6/8ths seem to be already there though, but at least they often come with far better scales.
i only have one helje the size of a fili 14 (incidentally labeled 14 as well) and I wouldn't even consider trading it for the most expensive epbd, just because it's the only one i've ever seen that large.

back on duck values, there appears to be a guide to those currently for sale on the bay. and the same seller has few well worn ducks with serious issues for few hundred dollars each. i think i know what values his guide will have even without splurging the buck for it.
