Thank you very much Sirs Henckels, Dubl Duck, Monkeyburger, and others. I won the razor and paid for it today. As soon as it arrives from France I'll clean it up, hone it, shave and take a pic of it. Looks to me like a rebranded Heljestrand, but time will tell.
Thanks again guys, you're too kind.

Although I appreciate there may be very special and personal reasons for asking SRP members not to bid on a certain razor but I do not think we should try and manipulate the bidding on ebay thorugh SRP.

I'm not sure I understand, manipulate?
I just asked nicely for gentlemen to check it out and let it pass, it's up to them to bid or not.

That is exactly what I mean: you asked members not to bid because you wanted to win the razor cheap. Whether you like it or not: that is manipulating the bidding. Suppose you were offering a razor for sale on ebay and I would ask members on SRP and B&B not to bid: would you like that?
The point of putting something on ebay is to get the best price possible for your item. That is thwarted by appeals not to bid.Plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose. Jean-Baptiste Alphonse Karr.
