    Any insight on the make of this hone? Natural? Man made composite?

    I think that it is just a barber hone that has been seriously lapped. The dimensions and the two grits point to a barber hone. The white layer at the surface of one side might be an artifact of quite a bit of material removed with a DMT or sandpaper.
