Thanked: 85Vintage Wade & Butcher (Serrated blade?)
Here's a Vintage Wade & Butcher for sale on ebay, and the seller will even "leave the cleaning to the experts"!
You would thing the seller would have the decency to just throw the thing in the trash...

Have you seen "The city of lost children", that's an example of it.

Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government.

Thanked: 85Well, I guess the seller is smarter than I, as someone actually bought this razor. They paid $3.99 for the razor and $5.99 for shipping. More proof that P.T. Barnum was right. Maybe they just bought it in the hope that they could save the scales?

Thanked: 3795Hey, one man's trash is another man's trash!
Hey, it might!
Excellent name.
Okay, I admit it. I'm that sucker. In fact, I actually bid $17 for it! I don't have time to work on razors in the near future but for the past few months I have occasionally checked out ebay--something I normally try to avoid like the plague. I was shocked that no one else saw any potential in it.
Actually I figured that the scales alone were worth $10 and the blade was worth the risk. The full width is just over 8/8. The deepest chip extends 1/5 of the width of the blade. That will still leave it over 6/8 and that should be fine on a full hollow because it will simply convert it to more of a wedge shape.
I guess I'll have to take pictures along the way on restoring this one!
Anyone want to make a wager as to whether or not I'm a sucker? Um, I mean whether or not I can make it a shaver?
