Some have asked about sniping.
If only the ones bidding are sniping there is no way one can know who is sniping so good luck to the high bidder.
If one sets up a snipe and never goes and looks to see who has bid on the item then good luck to the high bidder.
This isn't a perfect system but is some help to those who can see who is bidding. Some don't care if they are outbid, some probably wish that they were outbid. If you see someone that you know is bidding on something that you really want email or PM them and talk it over.
