    The Georgia Van Houten's.....

I'm a fourth generation....The way I understand it, there were four brothers
that came to America, and they settled in the northeast, gradually spreading
out to the Great Lakes and one hardy soul , my Great-Grandfather,came south.
They seem to have all drifted apart in different directions, so I my have some
    long lost folks in Idaho.

Since I grew up in the South, we like to say we're all "branch kin"...
You know, thats when somewhere in the past, your "Great-Great-Grandaddy"
drank water from a creek my "Great-Great-Grandaddy" peed in.....

So as we like to say down here,

"I'm American by birth, and Southern by the grace of God!"

I have been told that in the Netherlands, Van Houten is a fairly common
last name, almost like Smith or Jones. It means "of wood". Supossedly
they were something like foresters and game wardens for the local nobility,
and most ended up being connected with woodworking. I hear there are a
lot of furniture craftsmen in the north with this name.

But 'ol C.J. got all the attention with the Chocolate Press, and the world
got "Dutched" cocco as a result. Have you ever had any of the chocolates?
Very hard to find in Georgia, but ocassionally some pops up.

I have a customer named Van Houten. He collects the "chocolate" memorabilia, but I don't believe he is related.

    Default mr.ginishi

The scoop, all derivatives of my last name "utzat" was taken!!

Bitter that my choice of names were taken , I had to come up with a name I could recall, but was unique!

I then recalled the name of my janitor in elementary school. Being that he had retired in 1983 in his late 60's, I figured he might not be up on the 'eBay scene' ......

    SO, now I'm mr.ginishi.........
(I picture an old Japanese guy sitting at his computer, grumbling, "What?! That name is taken?!!! Why You Little........."

    Default Ebay Names

My ebay name is the same as my SRP name portal5
Although I don’t buy much on ebay (too tight) I do sell quite a few razors, I think it is helpfull to have a list for reference. I am sure that the members dont want to chase a razor only find out later that another SRP member had bid first.

Just making an announcement. If I mention that I am bidding on an item please feel free to bid on it. My snipe bid was too low and Bill missed out on a great Boker. A lose-lose situation that's making me feel guilty. I would rather have the razor end up in the hands of a person who'd really apreciate it than have slightly higher odds of winning the item. You will get no hard feelings from me if you win it. My take on it is: No matter how serious I am about winning it, if you're more serious, you deserve it. Thank you for listening gentlemen. Once again, sorry Bill.
