As far as removing the smile - I wouldn't bother if it was mine. In order to remove the smile, you'd have to remove metal from the heel end, and I'd rather leave as much as possible. Frowns are really what you want to look at repairing. Smiles are actually a good thing, IMO.

Did you win this one? I think the seller is very well regarded, though I've never personally dealt with him.
I am not the winner of that razor. I was watching it and really liked the way it looked but am new to this. I thought I'd wait until I have a better understanding of razors in general. If I were to spend that kind of money on a razor I would prefer to purchase it from a member of SRP or be able to see the razor in person.

That would be wise. I would not think this would be a great purchase for your first razor - the Wonderedges are really collector items, and though reportedly great shavers (I don't have mine yet), carry a special mystique and pricetag to match. You would be far better off buying an inexpensive, but high quality shave-ready razor from the Classifieds here, IMO.

Don't worry . IMHO "ducks" are over rated , and over priced . But , if you want a duck you have to pay the price . The seller , Altima55 is the real deal , and you can buy with confidence from him . You can get other razors from him for alot less than what that duck went for .
Greetings , from Dundalk , Maryland . The place where normal people , fear to go .
