Looks like it might be a nice translucent Arkansas. A pink vein was visible in your photos. Any slurry when you lapped it? Was it REALLY hard to lap?

Thanked: 132I honed with the stone last night, as well as shaved off the edge. It is certainly produced a fine edge. I'm quite happy with how it finishes.
I'm still thinking its a JapNat...though what kind, im not sure i will ever know. Considering, the cheap lot that it was sold in, its unlikely it was one of the more expensive JapNats, imo....but who knows.
