So I can pay $49.99 for a razor of dubious manufacture, from a bargain sales company I have never heard from that knows so little about razors their description of this one is worse than most eBay sellers, AND then add on $35 to have it shipped to me, shipped to a hone guy, shipped back to me? Or, I suppose I could save the $35 by buying a $300 set of hones to sharpen it myself.

Or I could buy it from a reputable vendor and get a genuine DOVO Best Quality for around $75 honed, shipped.

Nah. I'll buy the BudK one.

    +1 BKratchmer

Then you still need to ship to get honed and pay the price to get it honed. That would be about another $20 or $30 added to the $59.96. That would be around $79 or $89 dollars. For around the same price you can get one professionally honed and from a trusted source.

If you can hone your own, that's a nice discount. Shipping to me is $10, so that's $60. SRD is $85 to my door.

But, as above, if I couldn't, it wouldn't be worth in.

I wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole . A "straight razor folding knife" ??? What is it , straight razor or a folding knife ? Chinese imitation Dovo , perhaps ?

The picture makes it look legit but the picture can also just be a standard picture used in most websites and not the actual razor.

It looks iffy to me so be careful.

Are there actually Chinese imitations of Dovo's that look legit? I am genuinely curious, but have never seen one.

You could have it sent directly to your favorite honemeister and therefore the cost would be $50 for the razor, $10 for the shipping, and $20 for the honing and return mailing. $80 would be about the minimum total cost.
