How do you search on Ebay?
I will look here from time to time to see what people are snagging on the bay. I pop on there from time to time to see what I can find but I never seem to find much. What search do you use on Ebay? Do you search for "straight razor" or "vintage straight razor" or something entirely different?

I personally do a general search for straight razor to check out any gems that may not be listed correctly. I then do a specific search for a brand.

I search for 'straight razor' and of specific brands. Start in 'all categories' and when you get one open the window and see under the title 'vanity, perfume, shaving > straight razors' . Click on that and re-enter straight razors in that specific category. When the page opens look for 'save this search'. Before you hit enter uncheck the box that says email new listings or you'll be inundated. The search will be in you saved searches and cuts down on unrelated stuff.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Way back when, I used to have a custom search saved that looked something like this:
razor (solingen,sheffield,butcher,duck,robeson,boker,bar ber,elliot, etc.)
It had a ton of those 'or' names in it. I think the search function used to allow more than it does now.

Thanked: 70Oh.
Selecting used on the left hand column narrows the field nicely, too.
