This stone was in my watch list. I couldn't tell for sure what it was so I didn't bid this time. It might be a Charnley Forest although I don't see any visual clues for it. Other options are English slate and Llyn Idwal. I don't need another English slate but a giant Llyn Idwal would have been cool.

Congrats to the winner and I hope the stone is a good one.

Ahhhhhh .......I too have felt the sting of being sniped on Ebay too many times to count. I got tired of getting sniped and started doing some sniping of my own....."if you can't beat em', snipe em'".

To me it looks like that stone cost way too much. There wasn't even grit mentioned and from the pics it is impossible to say if it is 6000 or 300 or even coarser.

Often you hear people crying those Cfs are so expensive when they appear for buy it now. Now you know why. Yes you can be lucky and get one for this price however risk is high and you have to kiss many frogs before you get one princess.

If your bid is high enough you cannot get sniped. Send your best shot within the last few seconds. If no one wants the item more than you you'll have it. All's fair in love and ebay.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.
