I saw this listed on craigslist, what are your thoughts? Not for me, but who knows how deep some pockets are!

Call me skeptical . I find it hard to understand why someone is willing to sell something they spent $35,000 on , that is worth over $40,000 , for $25,000 .

Maybe the guy needs the money bad. Maybe he's getting up in years and wants to see it sold and not put into boxes and lost in someones basement. Maybe he's lost interest. A lot of maybe's eh?

I've seen large collections like that sold off for low prices (not razors, but other things), the idea is it makes it easier to find someone who will buy it all relatively quickly, in one go. Listing them all individually on ebay or wherever would take a ton of time and effort.

Well , I wish him the best of luck . I don't know how many people have $25k they're willing to spend on a razor collection , but if what he says is true it could be a good investment . If I had the money to spare , I would check it out . Too bad for me , I don't have the money , spare or otherwise .

I wonder what rare razor he has? Group buy? I'm down if he has the goods.

I notice that the examples he shows in the photos are all fancy scaled razors. If scales were his main focus no telling what he's got. He should probably try an auctioneer like Robert Doyle to list and sell them. Take the listing work out of it for him and he might make out well even paying a percentage to the auction house.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Could not agree more. I've seen some absolute scheiße with pretty scales sell for absurd amounts of money; all worthless for shaving.

I don't buy it (not a pun). The razors he shows are not that great, he repeats the same razors in pics, he doesn't show any
exceptional razors, and cannot spell paraphenalia. The whole thing doesn't sound kosher. Why would anyone who knows razors
put such a great collection on craigs list? If he knows craigs list, he knows eBay. If he is such a collector, he knows the internal world of Straight Razors and SR collecting and better ways of selling. Just my 2 cents.

He's looking for exposure and he'll get the most on craigs list. Maybe not the right kind however you don't know what's up with him. If he's an older guy and sick who knows?
