so i contacted the seller and this is what he/she had to say

    Question May 15, 2011 03:14 AM
is this the real razor...or a replica. Please advice. seller

    Respond May 15, 2011 09:31 AM
dear. thank you for you letter. this item is a real razor. it`s not a replica.. thank you.:::: seller is in China. I perhaps need not say more =/

I would be willing to pay 500+ for a SR if the scales were really exotic material. Or the SR was a custom. for a Novodo 13; after hearing all and seller not coming down below 500. I dropped the idea. And have moved on to perhaps gettin a custom razor sometime in next 6-8 months.
FMonica's scales are plastic. I'm takin the razor shaves expectional for it to be priced at 500-600 range. Well I've few to mess around with. Till I can find one that fits my budget..i will just wait.
Thank you all for all nice suggestions and expriences you all have shared. ^_^

I've checked out the picture on that website.
I think what you see in the picture are the real deal, that thing looks precisely like my EPBD's.

However, at that price, I find it hard to believe that the depicted one is what will arrive in your mailbox should you purchase it.

But who knows, that would be the deal of the week, should they turn out to be genuine

Um, all of them, any of them that have been in front of me over all these years....

When it comes to size, the #14 has a higher average price by far.
This Filarmonica 14 Novodor just ended on eBay.fr and went for 705 EUR (just under $US 1k)

Link removed due to member of SRP taking the picture and selling razor and then the French buyer/reseller using the pictures in his auction without permission of SRP member.

Seller said it was NOS. Pretty razor but wow, what a price... It was interesting watching it go jumping from 283 EUR to 705 EUR in the last minute.

    now question at hand.
    1) I've seen these on ebay. And sellers put a price of 600 usd on them. What would be an ideal price for these? Coming from a 3rd person who has dealt in buyin and using these razors. I did some scooping around and 350-400 range is what these razors fall under?

Both razors are 7/8 and 13/16 respectively. I do not know much about FILARMONICA #13 but what i've seen is they are super rare and 13-14 are most sought after.

Need advice on extending an offer to prospect seller.
    Thanks
    Nico.
One of the rules here is that we try to avoid appraisals and valuations.

There are web sites that track auction valuations.

Do learn to use web search engines.

well all i can say is thanks to all for guiding me in the right direction with FM razors. and I had a bad exp. with a chinese seller who sold me a AnF jeans for 15 usd but was a total fake. But that is goin off subject.

I'm sure chinese were also not born Last Nite. so sell an asset at such under value. Unfortunately her pretty pix is in wrong site; had it been a datin site many of us mite be msgin her. But again I'll leave it strictly at SR discussion.

Surprised this thread didn't get parked. I'm just coming to it now myself. As has been said we avoid talk on value/appraisal here on SRP. Since the cow is so far out of the barn I will leave this thread going so that any credulous member will have a heads up on the Chinese site before making a foolish purchase. No more posts specifically citing value though please.

Filarmonicas are good shavers and used to be available at affordable prices. Like some models of duble duck they have become collector's items and are sought after above and beyond their shaving characteristics. To the OP, since you seem to be relatively new to this I would ease up a bit and do some due diligence before you shell out a lot of $ for collectibles when there are great shavers to be had equal to the high dollar Fillys but not as sought after. Unless of course you want to collect Fillys .... then it is a matter of the spirit being willing and the bank account strong.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.
