Never forget, that in the end, they ARE looking to make money. "what the market may bare" changes from day to day. When they put it up at top dollar or above, if it does not sell today, it might very well reach that value tomorrow.

I put an offer on a razor that I wanted. I felt like it was worth a little less than the BIN. They countered. I was back and forth on the counter, but just didnt see it as worth it, but before I could give my final counter, somebody bought it at the full price!
So, as the saying goes, for every ass, there IS a seat!

As an old used car guy once told me: " For every seat, someone's ass is made to go in it!" yep!
"Don't be stubborn. You are missing out."
    I rest my case.

I don't begrudge anyone making a buck, but it just seems to be against the spirit of what this place is about...which I suppose is why they do it there opposed to the classifieds here...

    Thoughts?
To be more serious for a moment, Strictly speaking, as a business, selling on Ebay is done to reach the largest target audience. Selling in the classifieds here, means selling to those who are in the know. And simply put, these are NOT the people who are going to pay 400 bucks for a bug bitten reground W&B.
And quite frankly, when you have enough sellers setting the price, the people who are looking come to believe that price is the norm. So its simply a matter of time before it BECOMES the price.
That said, I have too much "nice guy" in me to do such things. Probably why I dont make much money in ANY of my business endeavors.
