I sent a Chelsea ships clock to a Guy in Alaska last yr.He only wanted to pay for Snail mail. was supposed to be two weeks,he got the clock in less than 24 hrs After I shipped it.
Sent a Guy in L.A. (about 400 miles from me) 10 JAN 6550 vac tubes, he paid for one day overnight express, took two mos to get to him.
The mail system is very strange.
Indeed. I recently purchased some SR's from Japan (way, way cheaper their shipping costs) and they came in less than 10 days VS things ordered from the USA. Today, I just can't receive anything from England!

Must be that the personnel in the Post Office of México is very selective!!

    Quite so.

And one of those thieves is PayPal - not only do they take a percentage of your money they aid and abet those trying to swindle you. What's the world coming to, I ask myself!

This reminds me of Korea, packages shipped through the ROK postal system are far too often considered gifts for the postal employees rather than someone elses property.

This is what I learned from friends of mine who "work" the system. (and I am using the term "friends" extremely loosely)

do NOT ship in any sort of envelope. They are too easy to fold up and stick up your sleeve.
Not only can they "magically disappear" they tear all to easily.
Do not ship in the smallest box possible. (for the same reasons)
Ship in a box (about the size of a small flat rate) big enough that it cant just walk away unnoticed, and seal it inside enough packing materials (like bubblewrap) that it cant be easily slid out of the box if they pry open a corner or a flap.
I know this sounds like a pain, but if you just add a couple of buks to the shipping fees, it will save a lot of troubles later. Its sort of like putting a cheap lock on a display cabinet. Its not much of a deterrent, but enough to "keep them honest"
