Patience
The advice given here on not rushing to buy on fleabay is sound. I have been wanting a DD lifetime for what seems like forever. Well I got one awhile back, minus the scales for a very decent price. Move forward 6 months and I snaged a set of reaper scales and a set of Bartman scales on a BIN for a reasonable price. The result I have a DD Reaper without breaking my bank. Now just need to rehone it and enjoy the shave. Not sure if I will keep it or not but enjoyed waiting for what I wanted and staying in my price range. Sorry about the small pics did this from my phone.

Great looking Reaper
Quite right, patience is vital to getting what you want, and not break the bank.
And the feeling of finally finding what you've wanted for so long makes it even sweeter doesn't it?Bjoernar
Um, all of them, any of them that have been in front of me over all these years....

Thanked: 118Very nice! Congratulations.
I have to learn patience.
People say that it has it's rewards, but I wouldn't know. I have no patience.May your lather be moist and slick, the sweep of your razor sure, and your edge always keen!

The other side of the coin is that time is money. Depending on how much money one's time is worth it may be beneficial to go the instant gratification route, or keep looking for a low price deal.
To me this question has always been a matter of personal choice/circumstance, and the only way to do it wrong is if you are spending beyond your means, or undervaluing your time.

We all think we're smart...until we find out that they're 2 steps ahead of us.
