This was my question:
Is this useful for straight razor honing? I am learning to hone and I have heard that Escher? Norton? Coticule? Thuringian? are good hones for making a razor pass the HHT5BenjamanBarker and AndrewK like this.

I have one of these with a slate hone. I didnt pay anywhere near what he is asking for that.
