    Default Awesome Auction

I wouldn't post this until the auction ended, in case someone here was bidding. I didn't want to draw attention to it, and possibly cost someone a deal, but this might be the finest lot of razors I've ever seen auctioned off on ebay. Even at the selling price, this buyer got one helluva deal.

Yeah, I happen to come across that one too. Some wicked nice stuff in there. Final bid was one sweet deal.

I saw that. It was a great auction, and if I had the money to spare, I definately would have given it a shot. When you look at it on a per-razor basis, it's really not much money at all.

So, I wonder who decided to cash in their chips and get out of the game?

Did anyone catch the live auction yesterday? It was mostly cowboy collectibles but had some nice razors and two nice 7 day sets. One set looks like the scales Vlad did.

That second set is lovely, but I think those both went a little high, especially when you factor in the buyer's premium.

The second set is SOOOO sexy....wow took my breath away. Didnt it say it went for $400?? thats only $57+ per razor without the fees right? I would have paid that gladly if I had the money. I would have never used them, just admired their beauty

I tried to get a bid in on a pair of razors (one was a W&B) but before I got a bid in it ended. The person got both for $30!http://cgi.liveauctions.ebay.com/ws/...m=180032919971

Also the list of razors and the completed prices are on this page http://search.liveauctions.ebay.com/...=1&sacti=20252

and I think they have more razors on the next page or pages.

Pretty cool stuff in general. Joe and Bill you may want to see the knives they had. I think they were on the page after the above link.

I have to confess that I'm the guy that won this auction.

I've been lurking for a while (am a member of B&B) and have just joined SRP - I hope that by using this as my entry to SRP, I'm not sending the wrong signal (but I am quite pleased with the lot!).

I've played around with straights before, but never seriously and am getting back into it again and am going to give it a real go this time. As you can probably tell, when I get into something, I jump in with both feet!

When I saw this lot, I couldn't resist and was surprized that it didn't go for more - I already have hanging and padle strops from Tony, so will be selling the ones that came with this lot.

As Joe said this is really an incredible lot and I appreciate your consideration in not bringing it to everyone's attention.

I spoke to someone at the company who was selling the lot and they confirmed my impression, which was that the original owner had spent a bunch of money on a beautiful collection of straights and related gear - but quickly decided that it wasn't for him (the razors look brand new).

While I'm looking forward to actually getting my hands on my new babies, I'm really looking forward to being a member of SRP.

I know you! Welcome to SRP, and congratulations on the purchase. Looks like you are set for quite some time. Or a couple of weeks!

Oustanding score! Believe me...if I had had more money, you wouldn't have won As I said; that might be the best collective lot of razors ever sold on ebay. You certainly got started off right. And welcome aboard.
