Thanked: 56+1 to Jack of diamonds, a guy messaged me on Ebay telling me a razor I restored wasn't restored lol. All because I didn't ruin the frosting, remove the perfectly fine original pins, and oiled (not buffed) 100 year old horn. It is still a matter of perspective and that razor still made me all giddy lol

Let's just say we're living through history. What if you were to become the first man to step foot on Mars and you shaved with the same straight razor that somebody famous from history who did something famous and because of it, is now superfamous shaved with, wouldn't that fact increase the historical value of said razor?

I suppose, yes, it would raise the historical value of the razor. And that could be a great thing.
However, a wise man once told me. " A coin is only worth what someone will pay for it." that being said, ranking historical value + functional value + rarity + condition ... I find it hard to truly price something like that. For myself, I wouldn't buy historical razors just for the history.
If the razor is worth the money to the buyer then that is all that really matters. I was just trying to bring to light that people pick up shavers as collectables too and not just for shaving.
P.s. I will notify my old astronomy professor that I was told I could be the first to walk on Mars.
Sincerely,
JackofDiamondsIt's just corn syrup... Warm, blood flavored, corn syrup ...

Well perhaps that is queen Victoria's leg and bikini area trimmer. thus it has great importance and also a frown but aside from that it is probably a great shaver somebody enjoyed the hell out of it.
