The edge is perfectly straight (check this by placing a paper's ((or whatever straight (((not razor))) you have around)) edge on the monitor against the razor's edge), but there is some hone wear on the tip of the razor.

Good eye, superfly...it arrived today and is "straight," or its shadow is anyway. Let me explain. There's a lot of hone wear on the tip, and the bevel's wide there, and then both the wear and the bevel width diminish as you move toward the toe. If you traced the edge with a pencil, you'd get a straight line. But in full light it doesn't look straight because of the variation in spine wear and bevel width.

Any ideas? Since there's no frown or anything, should I just sharpen and shave? Or should I try to get everything even?
