Thanked: 9I highly doubt #2. I am sure he has all the nice razors he wants... With you and Dave he probably bid lower because he wanted to flip them around for some profit and wanted to pay less that the razor's worth... well, either that or you guys overestimated the value of the razor
Cheers

I agree with Ivo - he's certainly happy to sell to Canadians and our higher dollar makes us even more aggressive bidders than is previously the case.
I also agree that he probably has enough razors to keep him busy for a while - he's also using diferent criteria to establish what he's willing to pay than anyone who is buying the razor for his own use.
I do think that all of the interest in straight shaving that is being generated on SRP and B&B (which has seriously expanded into the area of straight shaving) will drive prices up across the board - especially the prices Altima gets for shave-ready razors. So I'm actually laying off until things settle down a bit - or until I see something I really like

Gentlemen, I wasn't being serious here. As for overestimating the value.. I got mine for about $15-16 and it turned out to be one of my best. I really wanted to test it today but currently I have a lot of gravol in the system, which is making me drowsy -- not a good feeling when you have a blade to your face.

I bought a 4/8 spike tip revisor from him and it shaves awesome, jst perfect for trimming those tight places where my 'big' razor can't reach easily, he also refunded me money for the shipping when he found out it was cheaper than he expected, great guy!
