Thanked: 66Thanks I hate iPads for stuff like this.
I seen one sell for ...err.. or was it asking $960 bucks..
I am going to have nightmares tonight on what I can't to with the money..
A few months ago I let a thuri with box and label go for about the same. Because I waited. Now this.... But I have also got all excited and hit BIN, then took the time to find out what I got was junk. And I wasted me money, eBay...got to love it.

I would not sweat it. I do not believe that it is the stone you are thinking it is. Regardless of the colors, ie.. red/black , that stone sat there for a while and ended with only "1" bid. I am sure the lister was contacted and asked about the dark side which should have had a "Circle" stamp design with the word "Norton" in it. As you see , the lister failed to show the dark side of the stone. Maybe he was hoping for a "Big Fish" to swim by and leave a high bid.

Thanked: 66I guess I am not following you, it sat there for 10 minutes, listed at 9:35 sold with BIN at 9:45. I found it at 9:44:30 and hesitated. If the seller was hoping for a big fish he would have ran it as an auction, not a Buy It Now for $15 bucks... I should message the seller and offer $50 For it. Muhahahahaha
Just kidding.

my bad, as the kids say; I thought it was an auction item, not a Buy-It-now.
Still, no photo of the black side; this would help to identify it as the famous Norton for axes.
I do not believe it is, but I've been wrong before.
You could always contact the lister and ask for a photo of the dark side; even though you are not the winner. A few nice words to him and it may answer the question.

OK,, you may very well be right.
but for sake of friendly conversation & educationing me, Please, what details bring you to the conclusion that the photo in question is the famous Norton axe hone?
I've only seen them by photo, "4" stones total, and none of them resemble the photo in question.
