Bidders can be crazy. But he does very nice work and puts a top notch edge on his blades.
If i was going to spend that kind money i would have a custom made for me.

Stranger, if you passing meet me and desire to speak to me, why should you not speak to me? And why should I not speak to you?

This seems to be the most recurring type of threads on SRP.
Worth is, as always, very subjective.
The motivations for buyers on ebay are as diverse as there are members.
Some seem pricey to some, yet they are bargains to others.
Diversity is the spice of lifeBjoernar
Um, all of them, any of them that have been in front of me over all these years....

Thanked: 2027Gotta hand it to CFM,has been the top dawg on Ebay for yrs.
Resto work is top notch and his photo skills are his biggest selling point.
One thing I found really funny a few yrs back on another shaving site (he monitors them all).
I won one of his auctions, for what I no longer remember,my screen name on the site and on the bay was the same,I commented that the Item I recieved looked nothing like the auction pics.He blocked me from ever bidding on his items again

Interesting how touchy these sellers can be. There's a guy that sells early SS Gillette razors. He had unboxed undate coded razors for sale as being date specific. '1948 Gillette' I sent him a pm asking how he could tell? And he stated he had been doing it for years and 'he knew!' then Banded me from buying from him. No great loss!

Thanked: 275If someone wanted a _new_ near-wedge, 1-1/16" blade, I suspect he'd pay close to the auction price.
From that point of view, the price isn't absolutely bonkers. But it's breathtaking.
