Default is this a yellow green escher?

I saw this stone on ebay. is this similar to yellow green escher?
It says that it is Droescher and supposed to be really the same as eschers.
It is very yellow though, more yellow than yellow green eschers I have seen.

    Thanks

I've heard for years that Droescher hones are Escher hones. But -- it seems a little bold to state it in an ad. I guess I'd just want a little substantiation before I paid huge money. Not that it matters, it will probably bring huge money anyway.

You really shouldnt post questions about a current auction, that should be done in Pm's
Now everybody on here knows about it!

Not that it isn't allowed, it is just that if you intended on bidding you may have increased your competition. AFAIK Hohenzollerns were not made by escher but are great stones. Kees has a y/g he got from ChrisL that he said was better than his escher.

There is no rule or guideline against it.
It is not a problem to post about active auctions.

Droescher imported stones from Escher, (SRD) some had labels, some came in boxes like a Barber's choice/delight. I have an SRD hone. It's not in German, it's in English, which makes sense. I hate to say it, but it does put a better edge on my blade than my Escher's. Smooth like butter...just a tad better...

There's info on the forum about them and the Hohenzollern hone. I think the lighting is bad in that pic, the stone looks almost tan in color....

Yeah, Droescher was just like Dubl Duck, they sold stuff under their brand which they got somebody else to make.
So it is definitely not Escher, but it could have been made by Escher or anybody else for SRD.

Just like Dubl Duck razors are not Puma, or Dovo, they are Dubl Duck razors, some of which were made by Puma, some by Dovo, some by others.

Like many have pointed out, not against the rule but now that auction got a lot of attention, right after my post i looked at eBay's Most Watched/Popular Items and Auctions [USA] + How Many Watchers - WatchCount.com℠
and typed in Hohenzollern. the first listing is the auction you talked about at 23 watchers and now its up to 31,now you have 8 more people very interested in this listing.
    And now 38 watchers!

    Very good memory, Jimmy!

That particular hone does not look very yellow green to me, more coticule colour.
