Thanked: 9Item not received
I have not received an item from France for about 4 weeks now. I have received 2 other razors bought 2 or so weeks later than the one I still don't have... was wondering if
1. you have had similar experiences and
2. should I report the item... seller says it shipped alright
thanks

It is a constant risk. A package that I sent to Nenad a while ago never made it to Macedonia. Another package, 1lb of chromium oxide powder that I ordered from Keith hasn't arrived yet and I think it's been like 3 weeks.

Thanked: 9Yep, and I think Paypal actually covers the risk - off to research it

sorry to hear this,I know exactly how you feel, unfortunately international users of ebay are at the mercy of the good graces of the seller and it is too far and too costly to pay the shit a visit However I can happily say that 99.9% of the people I have dealt with are just fine , but when something like this happens that dosen`t help
Kind regards Peter

I snagged a nice set of four razors off ebay about 4 weeks ago. When I returned from vacation, I expected them to be waiting - no sign
Contacted Seller who refunded my money straight away, no questions!

Thanked: 2If you paid via paypal, they will cover you within 45 days. This means you MUST report the item before the 45 days is up.
They will contact the seller and ask for proof of shipping. If they can provide a tracking number of official document, you have no claim against the seller. If the seller does not have any info about the package, paypal will refund your money, as long as the seller has money in their paypal account. If the seller is a fraudster and has emptied his account, you may get nothing.
If the package was insured, you can claim against the insurance.
I know because I had a claim filed against me, regarding one of my brushes. International shipping from Canada to the USA is about 1 week, but can take up to one month before Canada Post or USPS consider it to be "late". I received an email from paypal asking for proof of shipping. I emailed a tracking number and the claim was closed. The package arrived shortly after. Just an impatient buyer I suppose, since it was only 10 days or so from the sale date.

Actually you can file a claim with Ebay for fraudulent seller. They cover up to $200 but charge $25 for their procedure.
I had one. In my early days on Ebay I had sent the seller a money order and then he disappeared. I had documentary proof of everything, so I started a procedure with Ebay, and I got back $175. I had paid only about $205, so it wasn't too bad.
