Thread: Item not received

I have not received an item from France for about 4 weeks now. I have received 2 other razors bought 2 or so weeks later than the one I still don't have... was wondering if
1. you have had similar experiences and
2. should I report the item... seller says it shipped alright

It is a constant risk. A package that I sent to Nenad a while ago never made it to Macedonia. Another package, 1lb of chromium oxide powder that I ordered from Keith hasn't arrived yet and I think it's been like 3 weeks.

Yep, and I think Paypal actually covers the risk - off to research it

It doesn't in case of the package I sent to Nenad as those weren't purchased from me.

So am I. Nenad had a good razor coming his way and some pinning supplies. Canada Post couldn't even track it.

I'm surprized. I've usually had good luck with Canada Post. As I recall, they automatically include tracking, unlike here, where you pay extra.

I've had a number of times when I didn't receive products through Ebay. I think Ebay covers up to $200 with a $25 service charge for the claim. I once had a seller abscond with my money and that's what I got. I think Ebay requires you to wait 30 before you report a problem.

What does your seller tell you? I once had a problem with a Canadian seller who kept insisting that he sent the product, and I kept demanding some proof that he shipped. I never got the item and eventually he gave me a full refund.

Contact the seller and as if the package was sent yet, if so, when and how. If it was sent surface (versus air) then it takes a bit for those ponies to swim that distance!

It might take up to 4 weeks (or a little longer) surface from europe to here (my experience with sending packages to/from Germany surface mail). If the S/H was cheap, it would account for using a service other than airmail.

I don't get it. Manyware charges $5 to ship a razor and I can get it from Germany four days after the purchase.

Well, seller says item was shipped November 9. I still received 2 other razors from France bought like 2 weeks after this one a week ago, with the same shipping charges. Seller communicating in French does not help much either But I knew I was taking a risk, I just thought it's such a pretty razor
If I report item not received w/o negative feedback does this create problems for the seller? I am willing to accept that she sent it but it was lost...

For the record, my parents sent me some razors from Germany - including one of my grandfather's and his hone. I still have not received them after 6 or so weeks. I think maybe they were delivered in the driveway and some teenagers picked the parcel while I was at work
