No, but you can'r do it for, I think 30 days. If you do, there's a possibility of dispute resolution. If you don't, within a certain time, there isn't.

It might not be a bad idea to look up the information on Ebay, just so you know how it works.

sorry to hear this,I know exactly how you feel, unfortunately international users of ebay are at the mercy of the good graces of the seller and it is too far and too costly to pay the shit a visit However I can happily say that 99.9% of the people I have dealt with are just fine , but when something like this happens that dosen`t help
    Kind regards Peter

Contacted Seller who refunded my money straight away, no questions!

If you paid via paypal, they will cover you within 45 days. This means you MUST report the item before the 45 days is up.

They will contact the seller and ask for proof of shipping. If they can provide a tracking number of official document, you have no claim against the seller. If the seller does not have any info about the package, paypal will refund your money, as long as the seller has money in their paypal account. If the seller is a fraudster and has emptied his account, you may get nothing.

If the package was insured, you can claim against the insurance.

I know because I had a claim filed against me, regarding one of my brushes. International shipping from Canada to the USA is about 1 week, but can take up to one month before Canada Post or USPS consider it to be "late". I received an email from paypal asking for proof of shipping. I emailed a tracking number and the claim was closed. The package arrived shortly after. Just an impatient buyer I suppose, since it was only 10 days or so from the sale date.

Actually you can file a claim with Ebay for fraudulent seller. They cover up to $200 but charge $25 for their procedure.

I had one. In my early days on Ebay I had sent the seller a money order and then he disappeared. I had documentary proof of everything, so I started a procedure with Ebay, and I got back $175. I had paid only about $205, so it wasn't too bad.

I am still hoping it's not a fraudulent seller.

Good to hear you got most of your money back

    FWIW,
I had a razor shipped from France a few years ago when I was newer at this (I thought I was scoring my first "TI" but I don't think so now)
Do not give up hope just yet. Mine took an INCREDIBLY long time to get here, not to mention it was difficult for me as I don't speak French, another member of the board (on the yahoo site, not sure if he migrated over to here or not) had to help me a little in translation...
and when the razor arrived, it looked as if someone at customs either here or in France had stepped on the package. The hard case was shattered and the blade was hairline cracked. It's a pretty razor but will never shave again.
    Such a shame.
Still....you may still be getting your razor.

    Thanks for the encouragement, John.

FWIW, I have decided to wait more. I really hope the seller is honest and sent the item. Maybe will do something if I don't receive the razor in January... unless I wake up in a bad mood one of these days

    Cheers

I ship a lot of packages to other countries and sometimes their customs delays the package for weeks. It usually takes about 2 weeks for the US to get the package to the destination country, but it can take up to another 4 weeks for it to clear customs.

Of course, that doesn't help much on this end, but something similar could be going on. It might be languishing in US customs. Especially if the value is quite high (over $200).

My shipment of Thuringen stones left Germany 4 weeks ago tomorrow and still not a sign of them. I sent a single escher stone to a member here who is in Canada and it tokk at least 3 full weeks via Global Priority.

Bad time of year to send anything very far. Even my USA Priority mail items are taking longer than usualy right now.
