Default W&B fbu 8/8 did I miss something?

    Hey all,
I didnt necessarily bid low on this item, but I was truly amazed that it sold for so little. (would still be my most expensive razor)
So did I miss something? Maybe a crack? Maybe the market is relaxing?

    Thanks guys,

I don't think $132 is so little... Maybe that's just me.

I think you may be right that the prices on FBUs might be starting to ease up a little. That's not too far off what I paid for one in similar condition a few weeks ago, and pretty reasonable (IMHO) when compared to some of the prices that were popping up over the summer. I hope yours turns out to be as great a shaver as mine has! The only problem is that I haven't gotten around to making new scales for it as I'm too busy using it. Ah well. That's my project for this weekend...

    Congrats!

It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.

Sorry, not exactly what I meant. I have been bidding on this particular style razor for a while now, most in much poorer shape have been selling for 150+.
Of course, thats just the ones I have been following.

could be the time of the week, may be Friday is not as active day for bidding as other days
The razor looks good to me, except the scales.

This sounds like a logical explanation, Friday is indeed a busy night for a lot of people. Thankfully I can still bid while watching a movie on the couch with the wife and kids, (insert evil laugh)

It was not available to be shipped outside the US. Maybe that contributed to the low price also.

From what I have seen in the past, you have done good, lets see what she really looks like when you get her. You can keep her as is or replace the bug bitten scales. I myself would get some horn and make her like new! I love those things!

One more question, does anyone buy shipping insurance on similar items?
He asked for $12.75 more, I declined. I was under the impression that using paypal was buyers insurance.

    Thanks.
