I remember reading somewhere that someone was printing out copies of old labels and aging them then gluing them to thuringians and selling them for top dollar. Everytime I see an escher on eBay anymore I get skeptical. I will try to find the article and post it.

Thanked: 458That was my listing. The buyer bought it at 355 and then notified me that I had two stones (which was news to me, i made a mistake listing it). I couldn't figure out right away how to change the quantity because once it was down to one, ebay decided I was ending an auction early.
So while I was figuring out how to end the auction early, I changed the price to $3555 or whatever it was to make sure that nobody tried to purchase a second stone that didn't exist. At the time I did it, I didn't know how long it was going to take me to figure out how to get the auction ended, or if I'd have to go to CS, but it only took another 5 minutes.
So no, there was never a stone listed at that price and I didn't change it to that until after the stone actually sold and the buyer paid the original price of $355.

Thanked: 458By the way, if anyone is wondering what color the stone is, ask Rich. He's seen it in person, and he's the one who lacquered the label for me - it is definitely the original worn label. There's no blue in it, it's a light green stone or y/g, no clue which because the end labels are gone.
I guess the bench that pictures are taken from is the problem, the light is fluorescent shop lighting. Here's an NOS super punjab, these are *very* green, but they look similarly grayish due to the harsh white light.
