Default wow what a weird anwser he gave to the question.

Anwser I don't see any cut, I'll attach photo of the other side of the strop, later. I don't understand about these items, if you have more quetions, please ask. If there will be no appropriate
bidding offers, I'll end auction 12 hours before legal duration, greetings

    Question i asked

does that strop have no cuts in it.
what would happen from time to time when
a newbie is learning to strop.

This kind of answer kind of makes me not want to even bid.
cause i only want to tie about about 50 bucks adding another strop to
    the collection.
the razor in the lot looks kind of abused.
so i wouldn't be a buyer period for that.

The way I read it the question was answered. "I don't see any cuts." Couldn't be plainer IMHO. The reference to ending early may , or may not, indicate a willingness to entertain an offer if there are no bids between now and then.

I agree he answered the question "..no cuts". He is probably just a guy who sells whatever he gets his hands on so he knows nothing about strop usage or wet shaving.

yea seems tratight foward to me, he dosent see any cuts, he admits he dosent know much about barber equipment and says if no one bids he will end it early.

Might be a language barrier of sorts... The phrases he uses are different. I would re-phrase the question and maybe use "scratches" or "damage" or in some other way make it a more open ended question. A deep scratch could be the same thing as a cut in two different views. If they are willing to send pics see if they'd send a short video down the length of both sides as they bend/flex it.

I am having a bit of a trouble with your question
You asked the seller "does that strop have no cuts in it." and he replied that the strop does not have cuts.
I do not understand the second part of your question to the seller though, I mean how is that related to the condition of the strop? May be that confused the seller as well?

I asked the question cause only one side was visable.
Zoomed in the photo the green side does have cuts.
what's another weird thing is he has it labled as possiblity nos.
and the Razor in with the strop has tiny active rust spots.
That's what i found really weird was the talking about ending it
early when there was allready a 30 dollar bid on it plus the shipping.

He prpably uses an iphone or pad to send messages.. Thereby spelling and grammar comes out iffy.. The last part is propably a cut and past statemnt he puts in every ebay post.. Lastly, he propably doesn't sell a lot of razor stuff and whe you ask if there are "cuts" he doesn't know a cut is a "nick in the side".. Much less knowing what a"newbie" is... I know it is hard to wrap your heads around, butmost people still don't use straights, and if theyy do they don't know the terminology.

to be clear NOS doesnt mean mint condition.. a NOS razor if stored improperly could still have rust.. if it doesnt have original packaging i dont think anyone would consider it NOS (i could be wrong).. if the wholesaler sold it to a retailer who sold it to someone else then some people would not consider it to be NOS anymore even if it is mint condition, but i think this is a distinction that many dont make.. i think most people mean "never used" when they say NOS.

if the back of the strop has cuts in it i dont think it's NOS, but if it not on the surface it probably wont affect usage.. however, those cuts may be cracks in the leather from drying out and improper storage and not actual cuts..

just a thought.. and without seeing the auction i'm not sure, and others may have other opinions..
