Yes they are popular, why i do not know, not better shavers than many others, they are just one example of what the hype machine can do.

Now stefan You probebly do not remember Honing this little 10/8 a while back.
But there is a reason they garner what they do.

    Bill I do remember it
but I have honed for example this one, a 9/8 Lauderjung

    shave was equally great.

A question of personal taste no doubt. For me the full hollow WBs are best shavers in the WB line up, but there are other brands that make just as great blades, those big Palmeras for example or Fridour etc etc.

Pixelfixed, your 10/8 WB looks a lot like more like a 9/8

Are we talking about "shrinkage?" They only shrink if you rinse it in cold water.

I know one member got his for fifteen bucks on a BIN from Ebay.

And another member who got his for "free" from his neighbor who knew he was into knives and razors.

Mine was fifteen bucks at a flea market.

So yes, you can absolutely afford one.

Nothing special about the razor that I can see, except it's fantastic style. But what do I know? Mine's only a tiny little 7/8. Maybe the other 3/8's of metal is where all the magic happens.
