Thread: Cheap Leather Strop... Anyone tried these?

    Yeah and if the grain seems to heavy for you sand it down and then oil it a little. I have a cheap one I got in a very cheap kit and that is what I did to take the speed bumps out.

    This strop wouldn't be very convenient for stropping a straight. They're made for stropping the Valet razors (single edge) so they're not very wide at all and quite short.
    There are a few strop makers out there that offer "practice strops" for a fair price. I can't say much for the strop the OP posted but looks decent, but then again looks can be deceiving.
