Well, the market is in a frenzy, in a couple of months it might be worth maybe half of what it went for. I do understand people selling when the market is hot, I'm not sure I could resist probably making your purchase back at least three times over.
Herman, I was already wondering where I had seen that one before. Indeed, understandable. Well, almost. Gentlemanly, less so, but that's economics.

Anyone remember the beanie baby collectible craze?

I do . Wonder what they're worth , now . Not much , I guess . After the economy really started going down the tubes , the "collectables" market went right behind it . I used to collect stamps , antique bottles , and straight razors (back when they were cheap) . Now , the only thing I want to collect is money . The problem is that the money seems to go out , faster than it comes in .
Greetings , from Dundalk , Maryland . The place where normal people , fear to go .

I am still waiting for when the rest of you to get bored with money and let me have some of it.
I think it is safe to assume the razor market will drop back down, but it might take a while. People who paid too much will want to get there money back for a while, before they give up.
In the meantime, remember: if you can't shave with the one you love, shave with with the one you have.
(I bet that CSNY have not been paraphrased in shaving circles before).

What keeps me in line is not looking at razors as collectibles or investments. If there's one I really like, I decide how much I would want to pay to have it in my collection, and that's that. But I wouldn't buy one with the expectation that I could get my money back or make money in the future.

You're probably right, but that song was by Stephen Stills on his debut album.

Thanked: 0I am slowly starting to come to grips with the fact that I may never own one of these monsters. The price of these razors is insane (I would gladly pay them though if I knew the wife wouldn't kill me). That anchor stamp is just so cool.
Here's the only one I have found for sale at the moment. Maybe we could all pitch in and treat it kinda like a time share.
