    I would stay away from that auction, the first bid put on this auction was 100 dollars over the buy it now price?

    i never noticed it had a bin on it .. i think the first time i saw it it was $850 .. ( i think ) that is fishy !!!!

    Had I seen that I would have just did the BIN, pulled 2 or three razors, kept the box, and tossed the whole mess back on the bay! With 2 days to go, it looks like its going to end up at a much closer to average pricing though. While the first bid seems odd, it would not shock me a whit if somebody realized their friend posted it too low and "helped" buy bidding to alleviate the problem of the set selling to a guy like me

    It started with a $850 opening amount and $900 BIN.

    That is an awesome collection indeed. Easily worth that money imo. With the economy as it is, it will be a hard sell, but those scales are highly collectible and valuable. Broken down in smaller lots and grouped by type of scales, it would fetch much more than the asked amount.

    Plenty of people would spend a thousand or 2 on each individual lot, but few people are willing to drop 10 grand for an entire collection.
