Good for you sticking with it, and just a point of note, even if you do find yourself needing someting other than a straight, I would seriously consider a DE if you don't have one. For me, the best has been ther Merkur 47C with Derby blades. This changes from person to person, but I would never head back to a fusion or any other fixed multi blade razor. YMMV
